Substance Prioritisation

Determination of the quantitative usage data for substances in the highest priority group of the substance inventory, i.e., the prioritised shortlist

The purpose of this consultation is to collect input concerning quantitative usage data for the 43 priority substances in EEE identified in the highest priority group of the substance inventory. Where this is not possible, a magnitude ranking can be provided, with a view to a refined prioritisation for future review cycles. Stakeholders are also asked to specify if they support the information compiled so far and to contribute information as to possible impacts that the presence of the substance may cause during use and/or waste management (relating to RoHS Article 6(1) criteria).

This section includes an Excel format for providing input regarding the Substances under Prioritisation and a guidance document with information on how to work with the excel format concerning this area of review. Stakeholders are requested to provide their input in the excel format, basing their submissions on the focussing questions detailed in the guidance document and including as much comprehensive information as possible.

Excel Format and Guidance document

> Initially compiled information and areas where further input is requested in table form, regarding all relevant substances (see below), XLSX-file

> Focussing questions concerning areas where further input is requested for the final prioritisation, PDF

The list of substances in the highest priority group of the inventory (i.e., the prioritised shortlist)

The following list is a result of the pre-prioritisation of the RoHS substance inventory that has taken place in the last stage. It includes only the substances that remained in the highest priority following the pre-prioritisation and that are now to be investigated as part of the substance prioritisation. Substances that are already restricted under RoHS or under the POPs Regulation or that are currently under assessment as part of this study have been removed from the following list. The final substance inventory, containing also the substances classified with other priority categories shall be published shortly under this link.

Please note that the order in which substances appear in the following list was determined on the basis of their respective CAS number (where available) and does not present any internal ranking of the substances.
